Advanced Imaging

“Advanced Imaging” is a term used to describe the use of imaging modalities such as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound (US), and Nuclear Medicine (NM), which are used to form images of the organs and vessels inside the body.

Three major divisions of Advanced Imaging:

“Body Imaging” refers to areas of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis.
“Musculoskeletal” refers to the arms, hands, legs, feet, and joints.
“Neuro” refers to the brain, neck, and spine.
“Nuclear Medicine / PET” refers to use of radiotracers
